American Red Cross
In 2002, Etón developed an innovative line of self-powered radios perfect for use in case of a natural disaster or other emergency situation.  Since then, our crank radio platform has grown from one product to nine, offered in a variety of colors and casings. In 2005, when the most active hurricane season in history hit, we knew it was more important than ever to make people aware of our product line. That is when we decided to partner with the American Red Cross, the nation’s most highly regarded emergency preparedness and relief organization, on a line of co branded radios.

At Etón, one of our goals is to help the public be prepared for any situation- a goal we share with the American Red Cross. This is why we have joined with one of the nation’s best known emergency preparedness and disaster relief organizations in order to introduce the American Red Cross by Etón line of emergency radios.  These type of radios are recommended by the American Red Cross for every household as a part of their basic preparedness supplies.  They are not dependent on batteries or electricity for power. Instead, turning the hand crank brings the radio to life. The emergency radios offer features such as AM, FM, shortwave, NOAA, and TV/VHF tuning, a built-in flashlight, a cell phone charger and a siren.

These emergency radios have quickly become one of Etón’s most popular product lines and we look forward to a long relationship with the American Red Cross.

With its sleek good looks, easy-to-use technology, and high “cool” factor, the iPod is clearly the must-have gadget of the 21st century. Etón is always attuned to cultural trends, and when we decided to create new products that combined Etón technology with iPod technology, we knew that we were looking at a winning proposition.

At Etón, we are creating products that complement the iPod design sensibility, with our own twist. Our goal is to create breakthrough, iPod-ready products with Etón’s own unique features. We started out with the Etón Sound 50, a docking station that allows our customers to listen to their iPods in full-fledged stereo sound, complete with a remote control for ease of use. Etón is also launching the Etón Sound 101, the first tabletop AM/FM radio that supports both the iPod and Sirius Satellite Radio. It’s just another way for Etón to offer our customers all the listening choices they deserve.

Etón Corporation has always had a close relationship with Grundig AG. In fact, Etón was born from a strategic partnership formed 20 years ago with Grundig AG. Etón recognized that the time was ripe to bring high-quality, German-engineered radios to the North American market, and we seized the opportunity. Although the Etón/Grundig partnership began with just one model, it expanded rapidly, thanks in part to Grundig’s status as a leading European brand.

Etón is the only company licensed to distribute Grundig radios in North America. We have sold millions of Grundig radios throughout the United States and Canada, and we continue to work with Grundig to bring proven products to market.

In late 2005, the Etón/SIRIUS partnership was finalized. The two companies are working together to create custom-designed, high-performance radios. The first product of the partnership, the Etón Sound, is designed to evoke radio’s retro glamour. But don’t let the retro styling fool you…the Etón Sound boasts the newest SIRIUS technology, along with excellent AM and FM reception. XM
Starting in early 2005, XM Satellite Radio entered into a partnership with Etón Corporation to produce world-class radio receivers for the home. The first product, the E1XM, is a revolution in digital radio, boasting the best radio performance in its class by independent reviews. Building on this partnership, Etón has undergone extensive product development efforts with XM to introduce additional XM Ready products.

This partnership represents a culmination of the radio category, with products that combine local, international, and digital radio programming in one box. It allows one to have one radio that serves a multitude of needs.

XM is America’s number one satellite radio service with more than five million subscribers. Broadcasting live daily from studios in Washington, DC, New York City and Nashville at the Country Music Hall of Fame, XM’s 2005 lineup includes more than 160 digital channels of choice from coast to coast: the most commercial-free music channels, plus premier sports, talk, comedy, children’s and entertainment programming; and 21 channels of the most advanced traffic and weather information.
