How do I find out what my county NWR codes are or what my nearest weather channel is?
Call the National Weather Service at 1-888-697-7263 or go to their website.
What about weather channels in Canada?
These codes are currently not used in Canada. Simply set it to you local weather channel. Try all seven to determine which one is for your area. For more information see the Environment Canada, Weather Radio Canada web site.
I've tried all seven of the weather channels, but don't get a station clearly. What's wrong?
You are too far from the transmitter site or something is blocking the signal to your radio. If you are indoors, get close to a window or try near a window facing in another direction. If this doesn't work, try to go outside. Try to go to a higher area, e.g. if you are indoors, go upstairs to the highest floor, if outside, go to a higher area such as a rise or hill.
