The batteries have gone dead. The clock digits will still show and the light will still work, however, the batteries do not have enough power to play the radio. Replace them with high-quality, alkaline batteries such as Duracell or Energizer.

There are 20 memories, 5 for MW, 5 for FM, 5 for SW1 and 5 for SW2. They are in buttons 1-5 on the radio. To store a station into memory, you must first be tuned to the station you wish to store. Then you must decide which one of the 5 memories to store it into. For example, to store a MW station such as 810 Kilohertz into memory 3, press the following buttons, quickly, with no hesitation between presses:

1. Press MEMO
2. Press 3
3. Press MEMO

The station is now stored into memory 3. To go back to it any time while you are in MW, press 3. There is no need to erase a memory if you want to store something else into it. Simply program over it.

Press buttons 1 - 5. These are the memory locations.

When pressing the various buttons used for setting the clocks, they must be pressed quickly, one after the other, without hesitating between presses.
There are two, independently programmable clocks, HOME and DUAL. They both operate in the 24 hour format. The default display is the HOME clock. Use the MODE button to view the second clock, called DUAL.

To select a clock for setting the time:

1. Press/release MODE, selecting the HOME or DUAL clock.
2. Immediately press/release MEMO TIME SET.

To set the selected clock:

1. Select the HOME or DUAL clock as described above.
2. Press/release the MEMO TIME SET button.
3. Select the hour with the H button.
4. Select the minutes with the M button.
5. Press/release MEMO TIME SET.
   

Turn the radio on. To access a station that you have stored into memory, press-and-release the CH-UP button until you reach the station that you wish to hear. The station's frequency and the memory number will appear in the display. To auto-scan the memories, press the CH-UP button for two seconds, then release it. The scanner will stop on each memory for about 5 seconds, then move on. To stop the scan, press-and-release the CH-UP button.

The alarm feature is activated and deactivated by pressing the ALARM button. When the word ALARM is in the display, the alarm is activated. Use the RADIO/BUZZ switch to select waking up to radio playing or to a buzzer. To set the wake-up time:

1. Press/release MODE until ALARM flashes in the display.
2. Immediately press/release MEMO TIME SET.
3. Immediately set the hour with the H button and minutes with the M button.
4. Press/release MEMO TIME SET.
   

1. Press/release the SLEEP button.
2. Use the st buttons to adjust the number of minutes you wish the radio to play, 10-90 minutes. It will automatically shut off after playing for the selected number of minutes.
