What if it won't turn on?
What if the display is blank and the radio won't turn on; or, I just put in fresh batteries and the radio won't turn on; or, I plugged in my AC adaptor and the radio won't turn on? This radio has built-in electronic protection to prevent damage from static electricity. If it ever shuts down with a completely blank display, a "reset" must be performed. To do a reset, remove the batteries, then press the small, round, red colored button labeled RESET in the battery compartment (use the tip of a ball-point pen or similar item).
Why does the radio abruptly shut off while playing on batteries?
The batteries have gone dead. There may be a "static" sound prior to it shutting off. This is normal. The clock digits will still show and the light will still work, however, the batteries do not have enough power to play the radio. Replace them with high-quality, alkaline batteries such as Duracell or Energizer.
